BEYOND THE ''DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL'', THE TRIALS OF LIFE
"If I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." Psalm 22
Every soul in its evolution passes at some point through the so-called "night of the soul" and even the groups of souls. What is this?
It is a difficult period, when one passes from a life, an old situation, to a new one, without having the certainty that things will improve.
In such moments we give extemporaneously to the faith accumulated within us.
Even though the dark night of the soul is hard and scary, it is still an important period and can be productive.
In these times it is useful for us to remember how many times in our lives, when we thought we would not pass one test or another, providence, or a force beyond our perceptions put the situation on a path favorable to the growth of the soul. our.
I will tell you an event that took place 10-11 years ago to illustrate what I said before. I'm sure that each of the readers has experienced something like this, or if he is very young, he will live at some point in dramatic situations.
Being visiting some friends of the wife, with children after us, at one point our children, the youngest being three years old and the eldest ten, go to another room to play with the host's daughter who was 12 years old.
After a few minutes, while we adults were talking, I "see" with the third eye the following scene: the little boy comes, agitated, in the living room where we are adults and shows me through gestures that he has something in his throat that prevents him from breathing. Like watching a movie without sound, I see myself getting up from my chair, standing behind him, pressing on his abdomen, I think he's called the Heimlich method or something, and something jumps out of his throat. , after which he can breathe freely.
A few seconds later, between 30 and a minute, exactly what I saw happened. Neither the adults nor the other children who had come impatiently, seeing that the little one could not breathe and were agitated, did not know what he had and how to act. Probably if I hadn't been introduced earlier, I would have wasted precious time understanding what needed to be done.
After I acted, a small candy jumped out of his throat and he was stuck.
Everyone was amazed that I understood what happened so quickly and I acted so promptly.
I told them how it happened, that I had "seen" the scene before and that's why I was so prompt. After a few seconds of silence, they changed the subject as if nothing had happened.
Divine help is not always so dramatic. Sometimes it comes only as an inspiration at the level of thought, of intuition. But when you think about what happened, you realize that only with experience, with your reason, you could not solve the situation positively.
From such events we can conclude that we have clear reasons to trust in life, in the All-Creator, that we are never alone, that we are not helpless. By recalling such experiences we regain our faith when it is tried.
If you are going through a difficult period, I hope it will encourage you that there is a larger plan than what is seen, an unseen intelligence that directs the events behind appearances. Darkness is just a moment when the old is set aside to make way for the new.
What now disappears, transforms, is replaced by something more valuable. Even if at the moment you do not understand what is good about what is happening, trust that life wants your good.
It is helpful in these times to pray, to understand what is best for you and your loved ones, and to be at the reception to receive information in the way you can understand and put it into practice.
Hold my hand, Lord, during the shadow period. Even if I don't see you, I trust that you are always present!
